The machine also sports an attractive brushed aluminum front and is available in a choice of red, black or taupe, meaning it's a great fit for most kitchen designs. It's not without faults however. The majority of reviewers thought it was expensive for a cup-to- bean maker (and does not come with a pitcher of milk).
However, there were plenty of glowing reviews of the quality of the coffee and the ease of use of this machine. The user-friendly digital display offers an easy-to-follow guideline and feedback throughout the making process, allowing you to perfect your drink every time. It even allows you to alter the grind size if not quite right. It's like having your own personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building skills and Harry Potter's invisible cape).
If you prefer drinks with milk, this model features a steam wand that's adjustable upwards and downwards to fit most drinking vessels short of a Viking's drinking horn. We were awestruck by the speed and efficiency of the frothing procedure, as well. It also produces a delicious espresso, with a great crema and full flavour despite its compact size.
The BCC02 is a fantastic all-rounder that's quiet, efficient and provides excellent value for money at the current price of PS499. Its only real drawback is the fact that it doesn't offer the same level of customisation like some of the other bean-to-cups we've tried. It's got a 15-bar pump, rather than the common 19 bar, which isn't as good for producing quality espressos. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart is a top bean to cup machine with many features that make it stand above the rest. Its most unique feature is that it can be controlled from your smartphone through the Melitta Connect app. This lets you alter the settings and dispense various coffee recipes stored in the machine.
This makes the machine very adaptable and flexible to your preferences. There are plenty of options for changing the strength of your drinks and also different sizes of cups and whether or not you wish to add milk. The machine comes with two airtight bean containers that automatically select various specialties. It defaults to standard espresso beans in one, and cafe crem (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other however, you can select any beans you'd like. There is also a chute for beans that are already ground if you prefer to use your own.
Users have also been impressed by the speed of the machine. It's faster than other machine they've used. The machine will also inform you if any of its hoppers is nearly empty. This ensures that you don't run out of your favorite beverage.
The price tag may be a concern for some. The machine isn't inexpensive, with prices that are close to PS999. However, it is far cheaper than similar Jura machines that have similar features.
Barista TS smart is covered by a generous two-year warranty. This is longer than the standard one-year warranty, which is a great assurance from the manufacturer.
